Angelina Jolie’s Bodyguards Maced and Kicked Out Of Club
Many reports have been flying out of Africa that Angelina Jolie's bodyguards have been very heavy handed as they have denied the media access to the Jolie and her beau Brad Pitt. Now it appears the tables have turned.
While on a break the guards reportedly were drinking at 'The Casablanca' club in the town of Swakopmund.
After what sounds like a tiff of sorts, a report says bouncers at the club had to spray mace on Angelina Jolie's bodyguards.
The UK Sun gives this account:
Two drunk (bodyguards) for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt temporarily blinded clubbers at a night spot with pepper spray.
The guards were part of the security force in Namibia where heavily pregnant Angelina, 30, is expected to have the couple’s baby.
But bouncers at The Casablanca club in the town of Swakopmund grabbed the pair — and sprayed them.
A witness said: “You saw these guys drinking and knew there would be trouble.”
Jolie and Pitt and their bodyguards have been heavily criticized for their actions in country,
The UK Guardian earlier noted:
Human rights groups have denounced the measures as a breach of Namibia's constitutional guarantee of civil liberties.
Three photographers from France and one from South Africa were expelled and police, backed up by the celebrities' minders, treated the media influx as if it were criminal, said the National Society of Human Rights. "We condemn the heavy-handed and brutal tactics," it said, adding that the government could use the precedent for future political crackdowns.
Jolie meanwhile gave an interview to Ann Curry that was broadcast on American TV last week. She didn't mention any of the controversy over her entourage's heavy handed tactics.
